Barcelona edging closer to title with 2 - 0 win over Espanyol

Barcelona moved five points clear of Real Madrid with a comfortable 2-0 win over Espanyol despite playing most of the second half with ten men after Jordi Alba was shown two yellow cards for dissent.
It should have been one of the toughest game of Barcelona's run in but even the red card failed to derail their charge towards what could still be a treble this season. Real Madrid face Celta Vigo on Sunday knowing they must win to close the gap back to two points.
Luis Suarez threatened early with a header that was saved by Kiko Casillas. Espanyol barely left their blocks with Barça enjoying 82 per cent of possession in the first 15 minutes.
