Gerrard enroute to the US

Gerrard’s decision to quit Anfield sent shockwaves through football and he revealed he had turned down offers from clubs in the Barclays Premier League, Europe and the Middle East.
Most significantly, though, Gerrard revealed he would have committed his future to Liverpool had they offered to extend his terms when he retired from England. He intended to commit to Liverpool for the next ‘two or three years’ but an offer did not arrive until November.

Gerrard's exit from the club that has given him Legendary status, for some comes too late, considering he would have had more trophies to his name, had he made a move to a different club, especially when top clubs like Madrid and Manchester united once should significant interest in the Anfield legend.

But he will be leaving, with one Major trophy eluding him, The Premiership title.
